In my opinion, if you’re a blogger, Convertkit is by far the best option you can choose. Hands down.
Why?
Well, Convertkit is made for people like you who have a blog, they even say it on their website.
Not only that, but it also has a simple and easy-to-use interface, and has everything you need and more to get started.
Now, let’s look at some of the specifics…
Pricing
Convertkit is fairly priced when you compare it to its competitors.
For example, Convertkit has the following:
- Free plan for up to 300 subscribers
- First paid plan Creator Plan (based on the number of subscribers) – $15 per month
- Creator pro plan – $29

But as you gain more subscribers, the amount that you’ll be paying will increase.

- Competitively priced: Against other email software and has a free plan to see if you like it first before paying money for it.
- Perfectly suited for you: Convertkit actually advertises itself as an email software catering to bloggers and has everything you need and more to get the most out of your email list.
- Constantly innovating: Convertkit as a business is constantly innovating with things like the Sponsor Network and the Creator Network.
Cons of using Convertkit
- Pricing can sometimes sneak up on you: If you have an influx of email subscribers, you may get knocked into the next pricing plan and may serve as a nasty surprise at the end-of-month invoice (However, this shouldn’t be a problem if you’re effectively monetizing your list)
- Limited free plan: Even though Convertkit does offer a free plan, it’s pretty limited. And if you want to use all the features that you need, you’ll have to upgrade to the paid plan.
- Limited split test features: Yes, Convertkit does offer some split test features like subject lines but this is about it.

Does it integrate with WordPress easily?
Yes.
Convertkit easily and simply integrates with Convertkit and is super easy to use.
Not only that but with being a blogger, with the fluctuations of Google’s algorithms, building your email list is a necessity.

- Budget Friendly: Mailerlite has to have one of the best free tools out there. Perfect for any bloggers who are working on a budget.
- Easy to get to grips with: I’d have to say Mailerlite is one of the easier email marketing software to use. Easy to get to grips with if you’re new to email marketing.
- Excellent Deliverability: One of the most important aspects of email marketing is deliverability and Mailerlite ensures it’s as effective as possible.
Cons of using MailerLite
- Limited advanced features: If a super-advanced email marketing software with tonnes of automations and tools is something you’re looking for, then Mailerlite is NOT the right option.
- Pretty poor Tagging system: Kinda playing on the above, but one of the drawbacks of Mailerlite is that it doesn’t have that many tagging features when compared to something like Activecampaign.

With being a blogger, one of the most popular ways to monetize is via affiliate marketing.
And if you didn’t already know, a lot of email marketing software can be weird about promoting affiliate offers and can even restrict your account (Another reason to constantly back up your email list).

- Perfect for affiliate marketers: If you’re someone who’s trying to leverage affiliate marketing in their emails, then Getresponse is the perfect option for you.
- Integrates seamlessly: Perfectly integrates with WordPress, all you have to do is download a plug-in, I talk more about that below.
- The pricing: GetResponse has a free plan and is competitively priced.
Cons of using GetResponse
- Limited Split Tests: You can split test some things like the subject line, but not everything, this could be a valuable addition to Getrepisne if you were able to split test things like the sender name, etc.
- User interface: Same as below, can sometimes be a bit difficult to use when wanting to create a simple email.
- Drag and drop feature: This can sometimes be a bit clunky and difficult to use when compared to some of the other competitors like Convertkit and Actviecampaign.
Does it integrate with WordPress easily?
Yes.
With GetResponse, you have to download the plugin on your WordPress account to begin the integration process of embedding email opt-ins onto your website.
